Imagine four buildings are on fire at the same time: a church, a mosque, a hospital, and a bank. You only have the chance to save one first. Which one would you choose?
My answer is #3 — the Hospital.
The main reason is simple: a hospital is likely to have many people inside who cannot escape on their own. Patients may be sick, injured, elderly, unconscious, or connected to life-support equipment. Doctors, nurses, and other medical workers could also be trapped while trying to help them.
Churches and mosques are important places of faith and community, while banks protect money and valuable property. But buildings and possessions can eventually be rebuilt or replaced. Human lives cannot.
In a real emergency, firefighters would make decisions based on immediate danger, the number of people at risk, and the safest rescue strategy. But in this puzzle, if I had to choose only one place first, I would choose the hospital because saving lives should be the highest priority.
What would you choose: 1, 2, 3, or 4?
