You might think you know these faces like the back of your hand, but time has a way of changing everyone, even Hollywood’s brightest!
We recently challenged our community to identify four iconic faces from 90s film and TV, and the response was incredible! Their enduring charm and talent are undeniable, but sometimes, even the most legendary roles almost didn’t happen.
The Secret Behind a Superstar Role
One of the faces on our quiz, the radiant Julia Roberts, became a household name thanks to her role as Vivian Ward in the 1990 romantic comedy phenomenon, Pretty Woman. But here’s the astonishing secret: she almost didn’t get the part! The film’s original script, titled ‘3,000,’ was actually a dark drama where Vivian was a drug addict and the story had a tragic, bleak ending. Numerous actresses passed on the role, and when Disney acquired the script and transformed it into the beloved rom-com we know today, Julia Roberts ultimately landed the part that changed her life and cemented her as America’s Sweetheart. Imagine a world without her iconic laugh and unforgettable presence in that film!
