Looking for a simple homemade beauty oil? This blend combines baby oil, vitamin E, and a small amount of clove to create a rich nighttime moisturizer that can leave dry skin feeling softer and smoother.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons baby oil
- 4–5 whole cloves
- 1 vitamin E capsule
Important: Clove can be irritating to facial skin, so avoid using a large amount. More is not better.
How to Make It
- Pour the baby oil into a clean, dry glass container.
- Add 4–5 whole cloves.
- Close the container and let the cloves infuse for about 12–24 hours.
- Remove the cloves.
- Pierce 1 vitamin E capsule and squeeze the oil into the mixture.
- Stir or gently shake until combined.
How to Use
At night, cleanse your skin and pat it completely dry. Apply 1–2 small drops to a limited area and gently massage it in.
For the first use, test the blend on a small patch of skin and wait 24 hours before applying it more widely.
Why These Ingredients?
Baby oil acts mainly as an occlusive moisturizer, helping reduce moisture loss and leaving dry skin feeling soft.
Vitamin E is commonly used in moisturizing skincare formulas and can add richness to the blend.
Cloves contain aromatic compounds such as eugenol, but they can also irritate sensitive skin, which is why only a very small amount should be used.
Important Safety Notes
Do not expect this mixture to erase wrinkles, replace Botox, or reverse years of aging. Its realistic benefit is primarily moisturizing and softening dry skin.
Avoid using it around the eyes, on broken or irritated skin, or if you have a known sensitivity to cloves, fragrance, or vitamin E. Stop immediately if you notice burning, redness, itching, or swelling. If your skin is acne-prone or very sensitive, a fragrance-free facial moisturizer is usually a safer option.
