🍓 Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie Recipe

This Strawberry Glaze Smoothie is creamy, fruity, and almost too pretty to drink. Inspired by the viral café-style strawberry smoothies, it combines a thick strawberry smoothie with strawberry-chia glaze and creamy coconut swirls around the glass.

The secret is building the drink in layers so you get that gorgeous red + white + pink marbled look in every glass. 💗

Ingredients

Makes 1 large smoothie

For the Strawberry Chia Glaze

  • 5 fresh strawberries
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

For the Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • ½ frozen banana
  • ¼ avocado
  • 2 pitted dates
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop collagen peptides, optional
  • Sea moss gel, optional

For the Glass

  • 2–3 tbsp coconut cream or thick Greek yogurt
  • Fresh strawberry slices for garnish

Step 1: Make the Strawberry Glaze 🍓

Add the fresh strawberries, chia seeds, and maple syrup to a small blender.

Blend until the strawberries break down into a thick red sauce.

Transfer the mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for about 20 minutes.

During this time, the chia seeds absorb some of the moisture and help turn the strawberry mixture into a thicker, jam-like glaze.

You want the finished texture to be:

Thick + glossy + jammy + spoonable.

If it’s too watery, give the chia seeds a little more time to hydrate.

Step 2: Create the Coconut Cream Swirls

Grab a tall, clear glass.

Add a little coconut cream or Greek yogurt to the back of a spoon.

Press the spoon against the inside walls of the glass and drag it upward to create irregular white streaks.

Rotate the glass and repeat in several places.

Don’t completely cover the glass. Leaving transparent areas between the white streaks creates a much prettier marbled effect once the pink smoothie is added.

Step 3: Add the Strawberry Glaze

Spoon some of your chilled strawberry-chia glaze into the bottom of the glass.

You can also gently drag a little glaze partway up the sides.

Now you should have a glass decorated with:

white coconut swirls + bright red strawberry glaze.

Place the glass in the refrigerator while you make the smoothie.

Step 4: Add the Smoothie Ingredients to the Blender

Start with a clean blender and add:

Frozen strawberries → frozen banana → avocado → dates → maple syrup → almond milk → collagen peptides, if using.

The avocado might sound unusual, but a small amount helps create an especially rich and creamy texture without overpowering the strawberry flavor.

Step 5: Blend Until Thick & Creamy

Blend until completely smooth.

The finished smoothie should have a beautiful soft strawberry-pink color and a thick, silky consistency.

If your blender struggles, add almond milk 1 tablespoon at a time.

Avoid adding too much at once. For the café-style look, you want the smoothie thick enough to pour in a slow, creamy ribbon, not like juice.

Step 6: Create the Strawberry Glaze Effect ✨

Take your decorated glass from the refrigerator.

Slowly pour the strawberry smoothie directly into the center of the glass.

Try not to pour against the sides.

This helps preserve the coconut cream and strawberry glaze instead of mixing everything together.

As the glass fills, you’ll see three beautiful colors through the glass:

🍓 Red strawberry glaze

🥥 White coconut cream

💗 Creamy pink strawberry smoothie

That’s the signature look!

Step 7: Garnish & Serve

Finish with a few fresh strawberry slices.

You can add a strawberry to the rim or place thin slices directly on top of the smoothie.

Serve immediately while the smoothie is cold and thick.

⭐ How to Get That Viral Café Look

Use frozen fruit. Frozen strawberries and banana create a much thicker smoothie than fresh fruit.

Keep the glaze thick. Give the chia seeds enough time to hydrate before assembling the drink.

Use thick coconut cream. Thin coconut milk won’t stay on the sides of the glass.

Pour into the center. This is probably the most important visual trick. Pouring directly onto the sides can wash away your carefully created swirls.

And don’t over-blend with too much liquid. The thicker the smoothie, the more clearly the red, white, and pink layers remain visible.

Easy Variations

For a dairy-free version, use coconut cream and plant-based collagen alternatives or simply leave the collagen out.

For a sweeter smoothie, add another date or a little extra maple syrup.

For extra strawberry flavor, add more frozen strawberries while keeping the almond milk roughly the same.

You can also skip optional supplements entirely—the smoothie still works beautifully with the fruit, avocado, dates, and almond milk base.
