🧄🧀 Cheesy Blender Garlic Bread Recipe

If you love crispy, buttery, cheesy garlic bread, this easy blender version is a must-try. The garlic butter comes together right in a blender, then gets spread generously over French bread, topped with mozzarella and Parmesan, and baked until golden and bubbly.

Ingredients

Serves 4–6

  • 1 loaf French or Italian bread
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 5 fresh garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1–1½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • 2–3 tbsp extra Parmesan for topping

Step 1: Make the Garlic Butter

Add the softened butter, garlic cloves, parsley, Parmesan, salt, and black pepper to a blender.

Pulse in short bursts until everything is well combined.

The garlic butter should be thick, creamy, and spreadable, with small green parsley flecks throughout.

Avoid blending for too long, as the butter can become warm and runny.

Step 2: Prepare the Bread

Slice the loaf of French or Italian bread in half lengthwise.

Place both halves cut-side up on a baking tray.

Scoop the freshly blended garlic butter onto the bread and spread it generously from edge to edge.

Don’t be shy with the garlic butter—the more evenly you spread it, the more flavorful every bite will be!

Step 3: Add the Cheese 🧀

Sprinkle 1–1½ cups of shredded mozzarella evenly over both pieces of bread.

Finish with a light layer of grated Parmesan.

Your layers should look like:

Bread → Garlic Butter → Mozzarella → Parmesan

For extra flavor, add a little fresh parsley and freshly cracked black pepper on top.

Step 4: Bake Until Golden

Preheat the oven to:

400°F / 200°C

Bake for approximately 8–10 minutes, or until the mozzarella has completely melted and is bubbling.

For those beautiful golden-brown cheese spots, broil the bread for another 1–2 minutes at the end.

Keep an eye on it while broiling because the cheese can brown very quickly.

Step 5: Slice & Serve

Remove the garlic bread from the oven when the cheese is still hot, melted, and bubbling.

Let it rest for about 1–2 minutes before transferring it to a cutting board.

Slice into thick pieces.

The edges should be golden and crispy, while the center remains soft and soaked with buttery garlic flavor.

The Best Part: The Cheese Pull! 🤤

While the bread is still warm, grab two neighboring pieces and slowly pull them apart.

The mozzarella should stretch into long, gooey strands, revealing the creamy garlic butter underneath.

Serve immediately while it’s hot!

⭐ Tips for the Best Garlic Bread

Use softened butter rather than cold butter so it blends easily with the garlic and herbs.

Fresh garlic gives this recipe a stronger, fresher flavor than garlic powder.

Mozzarella is perfect for that dramatic cheese pull, while Parmesan adds a salty, nutty flavor and helps create a more flavorful golden topping.

Most importantly, don’t over-blend the garlic butter. You want it thick and creamy—not melted or watery.
